Meet Our Founders

Cameron Harl – Co-Founder & Master Jeweler

Cameron
Douglas Harl

Co-Founder & Master Jeweler

Cameron began his career in fine jewelry at Tiffany & Company, where he started as a polisher and quickly advanced through the ranks. He completed an intensive three-month stone setting course under Tiffany & Company, training under Head Trainer and Master Craftsman Jason Marchiafava, before spending two years as a diamond setter—refining his precision, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence.

He later joined King Baby Jewelers in Nashville, Tennessee, crafting jewelry for rock 'n' roll icons and country music stars. During his time at King Baby, Cameron advanced into leadership roles, serving as both shop manager and production manager, overseeing daily operations and high-level custom production.

Seeking to further elevate his craft, Cameron moved to New Orleans to work for the well-known, family-owned Auction Hart Jewelers in Metairie, Louisiana—spending five years as a bench jeweler, followed by five years as customer service manager.

With over a decade of experience spanning luxury brands, celebrity clientele, and family-owned jewelers, Cameron ultimately returned to Tennessee to partner with his longtime friend Drew Hadley in opening Southern Diamond Jewelers—where world-class craftsmanship meets genuine Southern hospitality.

Drew Hadley – Co-Founder & Master Jeweler

Hadley

Co-Founder & Master Jeweler

From an early age, Drew Hadley was captivated by the world of jewelry and gemstones. While still a senior in high school, he worked odd jobs in a dental lab alongside his father—but it quickly became clear that nothing could compete with his growing passion for fine jewelry. Determined to turn that passion into a lifelong craft, Drew sought out every possible avenue to become a master jeweler.

His pursuit of excellence led him to study under some of the most respected instructors and institutions in the United States, including the Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology, the Gemological Institute of America, New Approach School for Jewelers, Kate Wolf, Jason Marchiafava, and Chris Ploof. He then traveled to Belgium to train directly with world-renowned Master Stone Setter Alexander Sidorov, further sharpening his precision and artistry.

Drew's professional journey began at J. Nelson Designs, where he created one-of-a-kind pieces and honed advanced custom fabrication skills. His craftsmanship later earned him a position with Tiffany & Co., where he served as a diamond setter and maintained a flawless Quality Assurance record—a testament to both his discipline and mastery.

Following his time at Tiffany, Drew returned to New Approach School for Jewelers as an instructor. Over the next twelve years, he trained more than 4,000 jewelers from around the world—shaping the next generation of craftsmen and cementing his reputation as both an expert and an educator.

Through every chapter, one dream stayed with him: opening a jewelry store with longtime friend Cameron Harl. Today, that dream is a reality—built on years of hard work, shared vision, and a love for creating pieces that truly mean something.
